Info
This year's prize exhibition, in Tengbomhallen, features one hundred and twenty prizes and 21 artistry, making it a diverse collection by definition. The works and artistry now form part of a long unbroken chain of works since the start in 1832. With this in mind, we allow ourselves some nostalgic glimpses among the works, but the majority of the prizes are new.
The first prize is a work by Jenny Källman, who is also this year's yearbook artist. A book that is a guaranteed win for every member.
The Commission To the one who travels constitutes a total of 100 prizes. In this lithograph we encounter a motif with high recognition – a residential building in a suburban area, surrounded by nature – but also with a nostalgic and slightly surreal atmosphere. Graphics as an accessible art form is an idea entirely in the spirit of SAK. All members have a chance to win one of these fantastic works of art to love or to wrestle with and reflect on.
