ArtPlatform organizes an open house and an exhibition that focuses on public art and its role in society, consisting of program items and activities.

During the week, parts of the artist collective Grounding Future(s)'s ongoing project in Gottsunda, Uppsala will also be on display. The exhibition will be followed by a publication that, together with Shared Spaces is part of ArtPlatform's 20th anniversary.

During the open house week, ArtPlatform will be located in Athe trailer at the Academy of Fine Arts. Activities, program items and talks will be organized for visitors and invited guests. Each day has a theme that provides insight into the breadth of public art, and reflects different aspects of ArtPlatform's daily practice.

TUESDAY 28/9: ADDITIONALÄLLIG ART, CULTURAL PLANNING AND SITE DEVELOPMENT

11-13 Studio conversation with Hanna Zelleke Collin (11:15 and 12:15)

13-16 Seminar day on temporary art, cultural planning and place development. Participants: Botkyrka Konsthall, Uppsala Municipality, Link Arkitekter, Future Place Leadership, Association for Cultural Planning

Public discussion about Team Alpha's art project The Living Lambohov, with Rikard Fåhraeus, Christer Fällman and Åsa-Viktoria Wihlborg. Held in the auditorium at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts.

WEDNESDAY 29/9: FUTURES FÖR PUBLIC ART PROCESSES

13-16 Theme day in connection with the Grounding Future(s) exhibition, with the Konstfrämjandets Syskonskap and the group Tjejsnack from Gottsunda

17-18 Digital lecture with the design collective Space Popular about their practice and relationship to the virtual. (in English)

Grounding Future(s)

Rudy Loewe and Johnny Chang from the artist collective Grounding Future(s) participates with material that will be exhibited throughout the week. The exhibition discusses issues and connections between art, community and public space, and reflects on the artist collective's ongoing work with a public performance at Gottsundaskolan in Uppsala.

Grounding Future(s) was started in 2019 and consists of Cassandra Lorca Macchiavelli, Louise Khadjeh-Nassiri, Johnny Chang and Rudy Loewe.

ArtPlatform

ArtPlatform produces and communicates art for public, semi-public and private environments. With broad experience in contemporary art, art history, curatorial practice, architecture and philosophy, ArtPlatform processes and projects physical and formal conditions for public art.
