"The loom and the warp, I let the loom expand as a sculpture. Threads that are tensioned and stretched, weights that pull and stretch. I let the tools, the body and the materials fill the room, a work that is ongoing, growing and changing. In the exhibition I show works that are images of places, and the materials themselves.

For several years I have been active on Gotland and I use what I have around me. Working with local materials gives me contact with the people, the place, the landscape and the collective knowledge that exists among foresters and lamb farmers. By starting from the craft, I am forced to listen to forces outside myself.”
