Exhibition Sculptural Alchemy contains new sculptural and pictorial works as well as sound works by artist Per Svensson that have been developed concentratedly over the past 10 years and during a stay at IASPIS in Berlin in 2023.

The works describe the inner Alchemy and the mysticism of Nature and have connections to anthroposophy. Works that have resulted in a solo exhibition at Künstlerhaus Bethanien in Berlin and a new book Sculptural Alchemy / Skulpturale Alchemie which is issued under 2024 and which collects works by Per Svensson over the past 10 years; Sketches, public works and exhibitions in Sweden and abroad. The book is published by Distanz Vorlag in Berlin. The book has been made possible with contributions from the Royal Academy of the Liberal Arts, Längmanska and Helge Ax:son Johnson Foundation

Per Svensson was born in 1965 in Gothenburg and was educated at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm 1985-90, and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts' School of Architecture. Works with Sculpture, Sound Composition, Watercolor Painting, Drawing, Film, Poetry, Architecture and public works. Per Svensson is an active musician in The New Alchemy, Cosmic Garden Project, Autosound and Gold. Lives and works in Gothenburg with a studio and workshop at Sockerbruket 29 in the Gothenburg harbor.
