Between 1967 and 1972 I studied at the Valand Academy of Fine Arts. The new painting was neorealism, i.e. figuration. The debut took place at the Prisma gallery in Stockholm in 1972, with the exhibition AIF (the Workers' Sports Association). I looked at Hopper's paintings of loneliness and alienation. I was also very interested in the paintings of the 1600th-century painter Vermeer. The new French novel was important: Robbe-Grillet with the disintegration of the story, as were films by Antonioni and Agnes Varda with line breaks.

The photo and the camera became important tools for capturing places and moods, which were then combined with mass media images in the form of collages. This became the basis for painting and graphics. But that was it.
