Everyday objects and materials, taken from the world of agriculture, move in a borderland between the familiar and the unfamiliar. Things are in constant transformation and movement, transformed into fragments of vacuum, waiting and attack. Reshaped into fantasies of the temporary and spent, freed from memory and consigned to oblivion. Between stillness and movement, time passes, erasing all traces.

Johanna Karlin received the Swedish Academy of Fine Arts' exhibition grant from the Folke Hellström-Linds Fund in 2023. The grant includes an exhibition at the Swedish Academy of Fine Arts, funds to carry out the exhibition and an exhibition catalogue.
