I would like to dedicate this exhibition to my two teachers, Åke Pallarp and Hans Viksten.

The title of my exhibition is a greeting to the artist Sven X:et Eriksson, who was also a teacher here in the house, although before my time. In a mostly black and white exhibition catalogue from the sixties, one sees some expressive long, narrow paintings by him, so-called "party strips".

Like X, I like color and also draw a lot.

Here at the Academy of Fine Arts, I made my debut as a student at the Mejan gallery in 1982. Now I am returning and celebrating 40 years as a painter.

I have thrived in the circle of naivists and felt at home among colorists, but I am probably mostly an expressionist myself.

 So now I'm winking at the X and rolling out my party strips in the halls of the Academy of Fine Arts.
