Enno Hallek (b. 1931, Rus in Estonia) studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts 1953-58 and was a professor at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts 1981-91. He is a member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. Enno Hallek's most famous artwork, the rainbow in the Stadion metro station from 1973, is seen by thousands of people every day.

Describing Enno Hallek's artistry is both easy and difficult. His language is his own, but his world of motifs is universal. For 60 years, Hallek has tried (and succeeded) in capturing horizon lines and sunsets. It is a feat considering the inherently ephemeral nature of the motifs. He has created works that can be used, but not as objects of use, but as the works of art they are. His works for SAK members are painted palettes, and as always with Hallek, they are two-sided physically and ambiguous artistically. They are wall- or ceiling-hung objects that represent something on an object that, in its material home, is actually to be used to mix the paint that will then create a picture. But Palette Landscapes already contains the images.
