Due to the extraordinary situation that has arisen with COVID-19 and its spread, the Academy of Fine Arts has closed all public activities. The closure is in effect until May 26, but may be extended. 

Our current exhibitions have been documented and are available via our YouTube channel.

Hanna Husberg (b. 1981) was awarded the Bernadotte Scholarship in 2019, which includes a one-year work stipend in one of the Academy of Fine Arts' studios. The scholarship also includes the opportunity for an exhibition. 

Together with environmental researcher Agata Marzecova, Hanna Husberg is organizing the exhibition From Aurora to Geospace as part of their joint project Towards Atmospheric Care.  

From Aurora to Geospace uses material produced during research trips to the EISCAT radar facilities, as well as additional archival material collected during the fellowship period, to explore perceptual shifts in how we experience the atmosphere through a focus on the poetry and politics of visibility and perceptibility.
