Literature on visual arts, art theory, architecture and art history from the 1500th century onwards

The Academy of Fine Arts' library is a reference and research library with literature that primarily reflects the Academy of Fine Arts' collections, operations and members.

The oldest core of the library goes by the name of the 1806 library. It is a special collection with books about e.g. architecture and garden art and reflects what the members and students of the Academy of Arts needed to know in the 1700th century. The oldest volumes date back to the days of Gutenberg in the mid-1500th century.
